From Entry-Level to Executive: Melaleuca Career Fair Highlights Culture of Internal Advancement

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company recently hosted its second career fair of the year, showcasing its commitment to internal advancement and community engagement. The recruiting event, held at the company’s global headquarters, brought together hiring managers with existing and prospective Team Members to explore the many career paths available at one of America’s most respected employers.

A Track Record of Employee Growth

This recruiting event was held just a few months after Melaleuca hosted an internal career fair, providing its existing workforce the opportunity to learn about growth opportunities and exhibit the company’s promotion-from-within culture.

The numbers tell a compelling story: In 2023, Melaleuca promoted 349 Team Members. And in the two years before that, it promoted over 740 Team Members. These advancements happened across all levels of the organization.

“Our success stories aren’t exceptions—they’re expectations,” says Melaleuca President Cole Clinger. “We’ve witnessed incredible transformations: cooks becoming analysts, forklift drivers developing into scientists, and call center representatives rising to vice president positions. At Melaleuca, we actively invest in our Team Members’ potential through training, development, and promotion opportunities.”

In fact, many of Melaleuca’s top managers started in the Rexburg and Idaho Falls call centers and manufacturing plants before accepting full-time positions at the global headquarters.

“When employees work in the call center, they gain remarkable insight into our business,” said Melaleuca Vice President of International Ben Sweetwood, who oversaw the call center before his latest promotion. “Then, when they advance into leadership positions, they are extremely valuable because they apply what they learned. They contribute at a higher level and make better decisions because of their experience and interaction with our customers.”

One of America’s Best Employers

Forbes magazine has repeatedly recognized Melaleuca: The Wellness Company as one of the nation’s best companies to work for, and even as one of the best employers for women in America.

This is because Melaleuca is heavily invested in the career growth of its employees, which the company calls Team Members.

Melaleuca is on a mission to enhance lives, and that includes not only its customers but also its Team Members. This culture has been nourished since Melaleuca was founded nearly 40 years ago. Melaleuca Team Members have regular one-on-one meetings with their managers to discuss expectations and career goals.

Investing in the Long-Term Success of Team Members

The company’s dedication to its Team Members extends beyond promotions. Through its innovative longevity bonus program, Melaleuca has distributed over $39 million in bonuses since 2007. The program rewards loyalty with substantial bonuses at key milestones:
