Lung Study Receives Global Media Attention
A new, independent study based on 20 years of research reveals a sobering fact: cleaning your home with national brand cleaners significantly damages lung tissue. Nearly all of the national brand cleaning products you buy at the grocery store are made with a multitude of harmful chemicals. According to the study, some of the likely culprits are ammonia, chlorine bleach, and quaternary disinfectant compounds—among many others. The study also showed that cleaning with products that contain dangerous chemicals as little as once per week was as damaging over time to respiratory health as smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for 20 years!
When the study, which was conducted by 28 top researchers from nine countries was peer-reviewed and published in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, it drew international media attention.
Here is just a sampling of the many stories that summarized the study’s findings:

After a thoughtful review of the study’s conclusions, we’re convinced you’ll see the urgency in removing national brand cleaners from your home and replacing them with the safer, more effective alternative—EcoSense.
I am so proud of who you are and that I have the privilege to be working with you!
I am so grateful to have found Melaleuca cleaning products for my cleaning company. I never have to worry about our employee’s safety, neither our clients and their children and pets. And the smell left is fresh and natural, never so strong but very pleasant!
I have been using Melaleuca products in our home for a year now. We have asthma and there’s been a noticeable difference. It no longer makes me cough while cleaning because there aren’t any fumes with these products. I am no longer breaking out in a rash due to some unknown, unsafe chemical in the products. I feel good about what’s being used in our home. I feel safe using Melaleuca products. Thank you for better alternatives!
I think I need to change my cleaning products! ASAP!
I love this study so much!
Now I just need to know how to deliver this message to others in a way that’s an eye-opener to them
