Three Team Members Awarded Melaleuca Spirit Award for Outstanding Community Service
To celebrate the extraordinary volunteer spirit of its Team Members, Melaleuca: The Wellness Company has presented three selfless employees with the 2023 Melaleuca Spirit Award. In front of their co-workers, this annual award was presented to Team Members who exemplify Melaleuca’s mission to enhance lives and who tirelessly work to serve their community.
The Melaleuca Spirit Award was presented to Heidi Weiers in Idaho Falls, Idaho; Corey Jackson in Knoxville, Tennessee; and Adam Wieckhorst in Kansas City, Missouri. As part of the award, The Wellness Company makes a $1,000 donation to a charity of the recipient’s choice.
Heidi’s efforts to fight hunger, Adam’s dedication to serve the homeless, and Corey’s spirit to bring joy to children—these inspiring Team Members are enhancing lives.
Some of the past recipients of the Melaleuca Spirit Award have chosen nonprofits that help women in crisis, offer technology education for high school students, support foster parents, conduct cancer research for children, and organize the Special Olympics.
The Spirit of Giving Shines Bright!
“Heidi, Adam, and Corey earned the 2023 Melaleuca Spirit Award for their lasting commitment and compassion to improving communities and displaying an enthusiastic spirit of service,” said Melaleuca Vice President of Human Resources Jamie Reynolds. “Each one has gone above and beyond to lift up others, and we are inspired by their charity.”
Ron Sykes, who won the 2021 Melaleuca Spirit Award, chose to donate $1,000 to the Fremont County Search and Rescue team, where he has volunteered for 35 years. This story shares a few of his inspiring volunteer experiences.

Heidi Weiers
Heidi has been working at Melaleuca for almost 20 years and is currently a Marketing Operations Manager. She is driven, bringing precision and focus to the most challenging assignments.
Heidi has been an avid volunteer at a local soup kitchen for 15 years while investing time and energy into organizations like Future Farmers of America and 4-H. Her involvement with the Jefferson County Giving Cupboard showcases her deep empathy for those who need a helping hand. Heidi is committed to fighting hunger among children, helping them to do better at school, recover from illness faster, and enjoy childhood.
“I feel honored to receive the Melaleuca Spirit Award in recognition of my contributions to reduce childhood hunger,” Heidi says. “This is a huge passion of mine. The mission of the Giving Cupboard is to establish programs to alleviate hunger and hardship, increase self-sufficiency and instill hope for a better future. Community service is an invaluable experience that teaches us the core values to be better humans—selflessness, generosity, kindness, and empathy.”
Heidi’s $1,000 donation will be split into two $500 donations for the Jefferson County Giving Cupboard and the Jefferson County School Lunch program.
The Jefferson County Giving Cupboard provides weekly food baskets to community members. It also has a mobile pantry program that travels to several remote locations.

Adam’s $1,000 donation will go to Summit Point Church in Independence, Missouri.
Corey Jackson
Corey is a Coordinator on the bottle blowing team at our Knoxville plant, and he has spent significant free time dressing up as Santa Claus and visiting underprivileged children at daycares, schools, and their own homes.
Corey is a single father of two daughters, one of whom plays volleyball. At the games, Corey often sweeps the floors between matches and acts as a scorekeeper. He has also been a donation coordinator, helping kids who can’t afford the sports-related fees.
Corey’s $1,000 donation will go to the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
