Tossing around Team Spirit at the 2024 Melaleuca Cornhole Tournament

Last year, Melaleuca hosted its first cornhole tournament. Participation was high, and the tournament was an enormous success. So of course we had to do it again—and this time we had even more Team Members participating! The games were again played during lunch hours and were held at all of Melaleuca’s Idaho facilities as well as the Knoxville distribution center. A cornhole tournament for the Kansas City distribution center is scheduled for May.

“The cornhole tournaments are just one small way we promote an overall sense of wellness,” said Melaleuca Vice President of Human Resources Jamie Reynolds. “We want our team members to be happy, work hard, have fun, and connect with each other as more than just work associates.”

Cornhole is one of the most popular lawn games and a staple at summertime events across North America, but because it can easily be played indoors, it’s popular all year round. Players take turns throwing fabric bean bags at a slanted board with a hole in its far end. The goal of the game is to score points by either landing a bag on the board or putting a bag through the hole.

Melaleuca’s Other Company Events

The annual cornhole tournament is just one of the many events that allow Melaleuca Team Members come together for fun and friendly competition. Team Members also have the opportunity to participate in other events, including a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a free evening of Pioneer League baseball at Melaleuca Field, 5K and 10K fitness runs, and a popular golf scramble aptly named the MelaMasters.

But that’s not all! Other highly anticipated Melaleuca traditions include the annual Melaleuca Family Picnic each summer, which brings thousands of Melaleuca employees and their family members together. It’s an outdoor carnival that rivals a state fair with a fair share of entertainment, games, and a raffle for prizes.

In the fall, a trick-or treat Halloween party for children and grandchildren of employees conjures up thousands of tiny visitors. And each year ends with a Christmas celebration featuring tremendous entertainment and grand prizes, including vacations, high-end electronics, and furniture packages.
